Uncertain Days — The True Meaning of the So‑Called “Critical Period”

Will Israel carry out an attack?

What will be the outcome of the region’s crisis?

What future awaits Iran and its people?

Ever since I can remember, it was the time of the Revolution — chaos everywhere — then the Iran‑Iraq War, “war‑war” until a forced ceasefire;

the reconstruction period, the reform era, Ahmadinejad’s time, the protests of 2009, 2017, 2019,

the Ukrainian plane tragedy, and the Mahsa movement.

All these years have brought various sanctions, restrictions on interaction with the world, troubled domestic policies, a hollow and corrupted economy, high inflation, and low social hope — which, especially in recent years, have pushed everyone who could toward migration.

And now, truly, the shadow of war has been added to all the previous conditions.

Life, of course, goes on and will continue.

In a way, we have learned to live alongside disasters and hardships.

Yet it is clear that for such a tense society, full of problems and stress, expecting improvement in living conditions, progress of the people, and development of the country is nothing more than a dream.

We must return to the people and national interests of Iran and spend the nation’s resources and capacities for its own benefit.

There must be major changes in policy and in the outlook toward both domestic and international matters so that we can survive the storm.

Rationality and justice must prevail.

Public opinions and ideas must be respected.

The very existence of different viewpoints and beliefs must be recognized.

Violence and threats against the people must end.

We must… we must…
